Upon receiving a scholarship to act in the seminary, Ms. Bartges learned how important drama is to the ministry. Having served as a Prebysterian minister for 15 years, she left in pursuit of an entrepreneurial venture in entertainment publishing. An expert in theater information management, Ms. Bartges established Colorado Backstage, an online platform for local residents of Colorado to read reviews and learn of upcoming auditions and shows. The website was launched as an all-inclusive location for theater information; in addition to reviews and auditions, it provides phone- and article-interviews with actors, and highlights local award show winners and nominees.

As the owner of Colorado Backstage, Ms. Bartges is responsible for keeping abreast of theater news, auditions and shows to consistently maintain listings and website content. Having attended many local and national workshops in the field, she has a keen eye for distingishing quality productions and how to accurately review them without prejudice. Further, Ms. Bartges natural writing and observational skills have helped to propel her career and reputation in the Denver, Colorado area.

Ms. Bartges earned a Bachelor of Metaphysical Theology, and a Bachelor of Divinity from the San Francisco Theological Seminary. Thereafter, she worked for the Denver Urban Spectrum, Quest Magazine, and Denver Daily News, where she developed her writing skills on a professional level. An advocate of lifelong learning, Ms. Barges intends to complete a doctorate in the coming years, and publish a book, entitled “We can play hopscotch.”

Named Professional of the Year in Entertainment Publishing by Cambridge Who’s Who in 2010, Ms. Bartges spends her leisure volunteering for local organizations that help adults with disabilities. She also enjoys caring for her dogs and reading about astrology.
