For nearly two decades, Ms. Peavley has exuded confident eloquence in landscape and natural scene photography. As the owner of Marilou Peavley Photography, she draws on her previous experience as a photography course instructor to conduct workshops on the art and skill of photography. In addition to being a passionate and creative artist, Ms. Peavley demonstrates her business sense by overseeing all of the operations and management of the studio, including finance and scheduling. A capturer of human emotion, Ms. Peavley is proud to have photographed monumental events, such as the homecoming of the 700-member Arizona Army National Guard, 158th Bushmaster, from Afghanistan after 15 months of deployment. In addition, she photographed a huge packing party during the Christmas holidays, which was spearheaded by the Ladies Auxiliary VFW, Army National Guard Family Assistance Office, KPHO CBS TV 5, and several Phoenix Valley Honda Dealerships. During the event, 682 boxes were sent to military troops overseas; the contribution was enough to ensure troops from all branches received a box.

Ms. Peavley’s work has been published in esteemed publications such as the Arizona Veterans of Foreign Wars Newsletter, the National Ladies Auxiliary VFW Magazine, the Scottsdale Elks Lodge Newsletter (2010), the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3513 Newsletter, Fountains, the Army National Guards National Magazine (Sept./Oct. 2010), and the United Blood Services Monthly Newsletter at Scottsdale. Her work has also been displayed on the Friends of Arizona Highways website, the Operations Home Front website, and the National Veterans of Foreign Wars website. In 1999, she shot the cover photograph in the Luminaria Program of Phoenix Desert Botanical Garden, an experience which she believes propelled her career to the next level. An award-winning photographer, Ms. Peavley intends to continue creating aesthetic still pictures in the future.
