Ms. Margrave has been the owner of Davis Margrave Farm, a family owned and operated business for over 40 years. Living on a farm her entire life she has become an expert in land maintenance and conservation. In her spare time she stated a small organization to help graduate and postgraduate students with everyday necessities for their apartments, called Graduate Students Loan Closet. After seeing international college students come here for an education struggle to purchase household items, she felt the need to help. With the current economy she has seen an increase in the demand for such help. Graduate Students Loan Closet accepts donations of all items, including cookware, dishes, small appliances, flatware, furniture, tables, chairs and rugs. She enjoys the opportunity to help others and work to conserve land. She attributes her success to always being responsible and maintaining balance in her life.

In 1959, she earned a master’s degree in business education from the University of Wisconsin. Ms. Margrave was the first woman to receive the Conservation Award from the United States Department of Agriculture.
