TROY, OH, December 9, 2013, Michelle Iddings, Owner and Professional Dog Groomer at Idle-Hour Ranch Animal Ministry & Exotics, has been recognized be Elite American Business Owners for dedication, achievements and leadership in operating an exotic animal ranch.

Idle-Hour Ranch is an entirely family-operated ranch that is run by Ms. Iddings, her husband and daughter Brittany. The Iddings have been running the exotic family ranch, which offers petting zoos for on- and off-site events, for the past 14 years. The ranch features more than 200 exotic animals of 40 species, including Sam the giraffe, camels, kangaroos, cougars, horses, anteaters, and more. Idle-Hour Ranch allows people to come interact with animals, ride camels and ponies, and take part in educational events. The ranch also has a gift shop where customers can buy products that are made of the ranch, such as wool, jelly, jam, hand-painted eggs, ornaments and dream catchers.

Always looking to expand their customers’ experience, Ms. Iddings recently launched its educational corn maze, and is building a teepee village that will have a community firepit where families can spend the day and even sleepover. As the owner of the ranch, Ms. Iddings is responsible for overseeing the petting zoo, grooming dogs, and managing off-site events including birthday parties.

Ms. Iddings attributes the success she has experienced throughout her 25-year career to God and her great support system. In the coming years, she hopes to expand her company and create more animals habitats on the ranch.
