Tustin, CA, April 4, 2011, Takashi Sugihara, Owner of T. Frank Sugihara Consultant, has been recognized by Elite American Business Owners for dedication, achievements and leadership in research services for the pastry industry.
Following his retirement from the United States Department of Agriculture, Mr Sugihara has been sharing his expertise in bakery fermentation on sourdough for the past 20 years. Having completed a master’s degree, his academic credentials include graduate coursework at the University of California, Berkeley, and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern California. Known for his dedication and commitment to research, he holds memberships with Sigma Xi, The Scientific Research Society, and Phi Sigma Biological Sciences Honor Society, and received a certificate of merit from the United States Department of Agriculture.
Outside of his work in research, Mr. Sugihara served in the 442nd Combat Team of the U.S. Army. He was awarded the Bronze Medal for his bravery and valor during World War II. He lends his support to the Boy Scouts of America and holds a board member position within the Girl Scouts of the United States of America. In his leisure time, he enjoys exercising, walking and landscaping in his backyard
Moving forward, Mr. Sugihara intends to continue consultancy work. He hopes to be remembered for his contribution to research in the pastry industry.
