Van Nuys, California, January 7, 2011, William McKinney, Owner of One Cut Records, has been recognized by Elite American Business Owners for dedication, achievements, and leadership in acting.

Accrediting his success to the combination of his hard work and good fortune, Mr. McKinney has spent the last 43 years pursuing his passion for acting and singing. With a keen attention to detail, he reads scripts and infuses his personality into characters for television and film roles. Known best as a villain, Mr. McKinney has appeared in more than 60 feature films, including “Deliverance,” “The Green Mile,” “City Slickers,” “Bronco Billy,” and “For Pete’s Sake.” His television credits include “Murder, She Wrote,” “Walker Texas Ranger,” and “Young Indiana Jones Chronicles.” Mr. McKinney also released a solo CD, entitled “Bill McKinney sings Love Songs from Antri.”

Mr. McKinney was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee in 1931. His childhood was nomadic; before he was 19-years-old, he lived in 12 different locations. With an aspiration to see the world, he enlisted in the United States Navy and served in the Korean War. After his discharge, he was stationed at Port Hueneme in California, where his close proximity to Hollywood and Los Angeles prompted his interest in acting. Mr. McKinney vowed to diligently pursue an acting career should he survive the war. In 1957, he attended acting school at the Pasadena Playhouse and was personally chosen to attend the Lee Strasberg’s Actors Studio.

A man with an incredible sense of humor, Mr. McKinney senses the irony of being selected for Maxim Magazine’s Top 50 Villains list. Still devoted to his career, he is affiliated with The Actors’ Studio, The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, and the Screen Actors Guild. Though he lives a busy lifestyle, Mr. McKinney uses his spare time to lend support to welfare and pension programs, and the American Legion.
