Marianne Foley Elwell started working with her father, the late industry pioneer John B. Foley, when she was in high school, and she has remained in the poly ever since. Her father started in the industry in 1959 as a bag converter and grew his company over the years. He was known for operating his business with honesty and integrity, and Ms. Foley Elwell looks to continue the tradition. Ms. Foley Elwell’s company provides a wide range of polyethylene bags, paper bags, materials for custom packaging, polyethylene films, promotional products, and stretch film. To ensure the company’s success, she handles a myriad of responsibilities, including managing sales and new business development, choosing products, conducting research, building partnerships with large corporations on their marketing products and with large manufacturers on their packaging requirements, and overseeing contract management. She attributes her success to her father’s integrity and ingenuity in the profession, as well as having her father teach her about the business. In the coming years, Ms. Foley Elwell hopes for continued growth in her career and the expansion of the company’s services.
